Four offenders arrested in mobile shops theft cases

Pocharam IT Corridor PS and CCS Malkajgiri and their teams apprehended four persons suspected to be property offenders at Uppal Bhayagayat area on Saturday. On interrogation they disclosed that they committed theft of mobile shops in Pocharam ITC and Meerpet PS limits.

Arrested four men have been identified as Prabhat Singh (24), resident of Gyanbagh colony, Nepal Singh (25), resident of Begum Bazar, Tharun Pal Singh (22), resident of Goshamahal and Parveen Singh (21), resident of Begum Bazar. Police have seized 60 mobile phones, one XIAOMI TV, 2 GOVO Sound bar, one CCTV Monitor, 2 Iron rods, chilli powder packet, 5 neck bands, 4 chargers, 5 data cables and one charging cable all worth Rs 11,75,533.

Arrested persons are native of Rajasthan state and came to Hyderabad for livelihood. A1, A2 and A4 working as auto drivers and A3 working in a cosmetic shop, Begum Bazar. All the above persons along with two other persons (absconding) belonging to Rajasthan formed into a group with a view to earn money, started shutter lifting of mobile shops.

Their MO is they move on a Goods van belonging to A5 who is absconding during late nights, identify mobile shops and reece before commission of offence. They use crowbars and iron rods to lift the shutters of mobile shops. They only target mobile shops to steal mobile phones which can be sold easily in the market.

In this process they committed offences in Meerpet PS limits on the early hours of February 3 and another offence in Pocharam IT Corridor PS on the early hours of February 4. While preparing to commit an offence they also carry chilli powder and iron rods to attack if any person obstructs them.
