Minister for IT and Industries Duddilla Sridhar Babu has emphasized that Foxconn, the Taiwanese electronics contract manufacturing firm, is firmly established in Telangana and requested that opposition parties refrain from disseminating misleading information about the company.

In response to an inquiry raised by an Assembly member on Tuesday, Minister Sridhar Babu stated, "Please do not spread misinformation regarding Foxconn. It is evident that the company remains in Telangana."

He further noted that Foxconn is a significant entity with its headquarters in Bangalore and is planning investments in other states across India.

The Minister also indicated that the company aims to make substantial investments in Telangana in the near future and will be making an announcement regarding these investments shortly.

Sridhar Babu condemned the opposition parties for their unfounded assertions regarding the departure of companies, asserting that such claims instill fear and hinder the arrival of new businesses in Telangana.

He further stated that the State government is dedicated to the advancement of the IT sector.

Sridhar Babu highlighted that a global summit on artificial intelligence was recently held in Hyderabad, emphasizing the importance of attracting international organizations and fostering startup companies.

The Minister noted that the IT sector is driven by talent and indicated that skill training programs are being provided for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes, and minority groups to facilitate their entry into IT employment.

He further remarked that individuals with the necessary skills are already securing jobs in this field. In addition to this, the Minister informed that IT exports from Telangana have reached an impressive figure of Rs. 3 lakh crores.
