The campus of Vignan's University, located at Deshmukhi village in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, reverberated with enthusiasm on Saturday as senior students organized a grand Freshers’ Day celebration to welcome first-year students. The program was inaugurated by University Director Professor Y. V. Daseswara Rao, who formally commenced the celebrations by lighting the ceremonial lamp. 

Addressing the gathering, he advised students not to confine themselves to academics alone but to develop social awareness, set ambitious goals, and work consistently towards achieving them. He encouraged students to make the best use of the quality education and skill development opportunities provided by the university to compete successfully at the international level. The Director also urged senior students to guide their juniors by familiarizing them with the university’s rules, regulations, and academic culture. 

He assured students of a free and supportive learning environment and stated that they could directly approach university authorities in case of any difficulties. Emphasizing perseverance, he motivated students to dream big and convert failures into stepping stones for success. Cultural programs presented by the first-year students added colour and vibrancy to the celebrations. 

The campus came alive with music, dance, games, and performances, creating a festive atmosphere. Prizes were distributed to winners of various competitions conducted as part of the Freshers’ Day celebrations. Deans of various departments, heads of departments, faculty members, and a large number of students attended the event and made it a memorable occasion.
