Minister for IT and Industries Duddilla Sridhar Babu announced that Bharat Future City will be developed as a world-class destination to attract major domestic and global investments. Speaking at a global summit on Tuesday, he said the project, themed “Bharat Future City as a Magnet for $3 Trillion Telangana,” will be built as a zero-carbon, next-generation city spread over 13,500 acres.
The city will feature six specialised urban districts focusing on AI, Health City, Entertainment, Sports, Data Centres and international-level higher education. It will house research centres, green pharma units, manufacturing clusters and entertainment zones capable of generating 13 lakh jobs. Housing townships for 9 lakh residents will be developed with leading infrastructure firms.
About 400 acres are being earmarked for data centres, with construction set to begin by February.
The Young India Skills University will start operations within a month. An international-standard entertainment district with convention centres, adventure zones and star hotels is also planned.
Sridhar Babu said the city will integrate futuristic mobility systems, extensive urban forests and advanced water harvesting. The Reliance Foundation’s Vantara wildlife conservation centre will also be set up here, reflecting Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s vision for a globally celebrated zero-carbon city.
