Galaxy Health Insurance launches ‘Galaxy Twin 360’

Private sector standalone insurer Galaxy Health Insurance has unveiled a new health insurance programme, Galaxy Twin 360, targeting adults aged 18 to 45 years. The company is backed by the TVS Family and industry veterans Venu Srinivasan and V Jagannathan.

The Galaxy Twin 360 plan offers three variants – Core, Max, and Ultra – combining comprehensive inpatient protection (IPD) with high-value outpatient (OPD) benefits and wellness services. The product is designed to provide daily utility rather than just coverage during hospitalisation.

G Srinivasan, MD and CEO of Galaxy Health Insurance, said, “Young adults often discontinue health insurance because they do not see value when they do not make a claim. Galaxy Twin 360 changes that narrative by integrating IPD protection, OPD benefits, preventive wellness services, and digital health tools, making coverage relevant and financially efficient every day.”

Galaxy Insurance highlighted that urban Indians spend between Rs 15,000 and Rs 20,000 annually on OPD services, including doctor consultations, pharmacy bills, and diagnostics. Many adults tend to let their policies lapse after the first year, perceiving premiums as money spent without immediate benefits due to the rarity of hospitalisation.

The new programme aims to address this gap, ensuring young adults experience tangible value from their insurance policies while promoting preventive healthcare and daily wellness, alongside traditional hospitalisation protection.

Galaxy Twin 360 is now available across the company’s distribution channels, offering a mix of affordability, flexibility, and comprehensive health coverage for India’s younger population.
