GHMC Commissioner R V Karnan on Friday instructed the engineering officials to expedite and complete the development works undertaken to augment civic infrastructure in the city at the earliest. The GHMC commissioner made a field visit to Secunderabad and Khairatabad zones and inspected several works. He, along with the Zonal Commissioners Ravi Kiran and Anurag Jayanthi, reviewed the progress of the works aimed at enhancing infrastructure along with the implementation of the monsoon special sanitation programs. The Commissioner first toured Baglingampally and surrounding areas in Secunderabad zone. 

The Commissioner called for cleanliness programs to be carried out regularly to ensure a healthy environment and instructed the officials to respond quickly to people's complaints. The Commissioner reviewed about the implementation of monsoon special sanitation program, sanitation conditions, anti larval measures, road maintenance and performance of drainage systems. Garbage collection centers were inspected and cleanliness in public places was checked. 

He spoke to the locals and enquired about the implementation of the sanitation programs. Later, the Commissioner visited the GHMC Park at Jubilee Hills Road No. 44 and 45 and reviewed the progress of implementation of the development works undertaken in the park and the progress of civil works at the field level.
