The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner K Ilambarthi has instructed relevant officials to ensure there are no delays in issuing senior citizen ID cards.
Speaking at the Prajavani program held at the GHMC headquarters on Monday, he received grievances from citizens across various regions of the city, addressing some issues on the spot.
In the course of the program, Commissioner Ilambarthi emphasized the importance of promptly resolving complaints received from different departments. He specifically directed officials to focus on the swift issuance of senior citizen ID cards without any delay.
At the Prajavani program held at the GHMC headquarters, 82 grievances were received, with 46 related to the Town Planning department, 5 to the Sanitation department, 4 each to the Tax and Health departments, 3 each to Engineering Maintenance and Administration departments, 2 each to FA, Electrical, Land Acquisition, CPRO, UBD departments, and 1 complaint to the Housing department. Additionally, 6 grievances were received through phone-in.
Across the six zones under GHMC's jurisdiction, a total of 112 grievances were received. Kukatpally zone had 51, LB Nagar had 13, Serilingampally had 12, Secunderabad zone had 27, Charminar zone had 8, and Khairatabad had 1 complaint.
Additional Commissioners Shiva Kumar Naidu, Geeta Radhika, Pankaj, Raghu Prasad, Venu Gopal Reddy, Satyanarayana, Yadagiri Rao, CCP Srinivas, Chief Veterinary Officer Abdul Vakil, CMHO Dr. Padmaja, Additional CCPs Pradeep, Gangadhar, Venkanna, Ranjit Kumar, Water Works Zonal Manager Sai Ramana, Special Deputy Collector Ramulu Naik, UBD Director Venkateswara Rao were among the attendees.
