GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan has ordered the officials to complete the second phase of the Shilpa layout work from Gachibowli to Kondapur by the end of May. After walkers complained about sanitation and dog infestation at Malkam Cheruvu, the officials were immediately asked to talk to the administrators and take steps to ensure that walkers do not face any problems.
The officials were instructed to take appropriate measures to prevent storm water drains from entering the lake. The flyover and underpass construction site to be undertaken by the civic body was inspected at Khajaguda Junction to ensure that there is no traffic problem.
The Commissioner also inspected the work of the three-lane by-direction Shilpa Layout Flyover from Gachibowli to Kondapur. When the Commissioner asked the officials to explain as to how many minutes it will take to reach the destination due to this flyover, the project engineers explained to the Commissioner that it would be easier to go from ORR to Kondapur and from Kondapur to Shamshabad Airport to Hi-Tech City.
When the engineering officials were asked as to how long it would take to complete the flyover, the engineers informed that the work of BT and LED lights on the flyover was going on and added that the service road work would be completed in 15 days if the land acquisition process of about five properties is completed.
The Commissioner ordered that it be completed by the end of this month. He directed the Zonal Commissioner present to complete the land acquisition process as soon as possible.
