GHMC Mayor Vijayalakshmi inspects development projects in Hyderabad

Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi emphasized her commitment to improving infrastructure in the city. On Saturday, she toured various colonies in Venkateshwara Nagar and Shaikpet Division, accompanied by corporators Kalpana Reddy and Mohammad Rashid, and Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender.

During the visit, the Mayor inspected the box drain works from TRS Bhavan to Banjara Lake, a 2.5 km project estimated at ₹30 crores. She directed the Water Works Department to ensure the construction of a drinking water pipeline alongside the drain works. She urged residents to cooperate during the construction phase.

The Mayor also reviewed the proposed multi-purpose function hall in Pratap Nagar and addressed issues related to internal roads and water pipelines. She instructed officials to prepare proposals for CC roads and water holding structures to prevent waterlogging.

In her efforts to maintain cleanliness, the Mayor ordered the removal of garbage and penalizing those who litter. She inspected the automated garbage collection system at Shaikpet and directed officials to enhance its efficiency.
