GNIT Students shine in National EV Go-Kart Challenge 2026

Hyderabad: Mechanical Engineering students from Guru Nanak Institute of Technology (GNIT) achieved 5th place in the Electric Vehicle category at the 13th National Level EV Go-Kart Design Challenge, held at Kari Motor Speedway, Coimbatore, and organized by ISNEE Motorsports. Competing against 80 top engineering institutions, the GNIT team showcased a high-performance Electric Go-Kart featuring a 6 kW motor controller, 74V lithium-ion battery pack, and accumulator system with 100 cells. The vehicle reaches speeds of up to 100 km/h, with a range of 90–100 km per charge and a recharge time of 5 hours.

The students’ achievement reflects their innovation, technical skill, and dedication, supported by GNIT’s focus on research and practical learning. Institutional leaders, including Sardar Gagandeep Singh Kohli and Dr. H.S. Saini, along with faculty, congratulated the team, emphasizing GNIT’s commitment to fostering engineering talent and automotive innovation.
