Godrej Properties has reported housing sales worth over Rs 2,600 crore in its first year of operations in Hyderabad and is planning to scale up its presence in the city, citing strong demand and long-term growth potential.
The company entered the Hyderabad residential market in January this year with the launch of its first project at Kokapet, followed by a second project during the July–September quarter. Executive Chairperson Pirojsha Godrej said the response has exceeded expectations, making Hyderabad a key growth market for the developer, particularly for premium and luxury housing.
Encouraged by robust sales, Godrej Properties is actively scouting for additional land parcels in the city. Recently, the company won a bid to acquire around five acres of land at Neopolis, Kokapet, through an e-auction conducted by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority. The project is expected to have a saleable area of about 2.5 million square feet with an estimated revenue potential of Rs 4,150 crore. In August, the company also acquired a 7.825-acre land parcel in Kukatpally.
Across markets, Godrej Properties recorded a 13 per cent rise in sales bookings to Rs 15,587 crore in the first half of the current fiscal. The company remains confident of achieving its full-year sales booking target of Rs 32,500 crore, after posting Rs 29,444 crore in property sales in 2024–25.
The developer plans to add around Rs 30,000 crore in revenue potential this fiscal through outright land purchases and joint development agreements, while also expanding plotted development in tier-II and tier-III cities.
