Minister for Health Damodar Raja Narasimha has emphasised that the government bears the responsibility for delivering education, medical care, and social security to the underprivileged. The Minister laid the foundation stone for a hundred-bed hospital in Devarakadra, located in the Mahabubnagar district on Wednesday.

During his remarks at the ceremony, the Minister indicated that the hospital is being constructed at an expenditure of Rs 35 crore, with completion expected within a year. Furthermore, Raja Narasimha announced plans to establish a trauma care center every 30 kilometres to assist individuals injured in accidents.

He also noted that a trauma care center will be developed in Devarakadra, highlighting that comprehensive facilities are being made available in government educational institutions and hospitals since the establishment of the Congress government.

"About 8,000 jobs have been filled in the health department within a year. All types of medicines, as well as surgical and diagnostic services, have been made available in government hospitals," he said.

Raja Narasimha further stated that super-specialty medical services like cardiology and nephrology are going to be started in Mahabubnagar General Hospital, and MRI services are going to be made available soon.

"Steps are being taken to ensure that dialysis patients do not have to face any trouble and that dialysis services are available nearby. Eighteen new dialysis centers are being set up within a year, and new dialysis centers have been sanctioned for Devarakadra and Maktal," Raja Narasimha said.

"Five dialysis machines will be made available in each dialysis center. Strict action is being taken against private hospitals that try to cheat people by taking advantage of their innocence. Similarly, strict action has been ordered against the hospital management that conducted illegal organ transplantation," he said.

The Minister said the houses and ration cards will be provided to everyone, who is eligible, in a phased manner.

Dialysis Services Enhancement:
