Government adviser for Welfare and Development Schemes and Bodhan MLA P.Sudarshan Reddy on Wednesday condemned the alleged police action against students protesting for their demands, describing the reported lathi charge as inhumane. He urged the Central Government to address the students' concerns instead of resorting to force. Sudarshan Reddy alleged that students have been demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for the past month, but the Centre has failed to respond to their demands.
Instead, he claimed, efforts were being made to suppress the student movement through arrests and police action. He also condemned the alleged attack on Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi, stating that such incidents undermine democratic values. Sudarshan Reddy demanded that the Central Government immediately fulfill what he described as the students' legitimate demands and called for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
