Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha stated that the state government is actively working to enhance the health sector, focusing on linking sub-centres, health centres, community health centres, area hospitals, and government hospitals providing services in rural areas.

During the Legislative Council session on Saturday, Minister Narasimha addressed questions from members regarding RMP (Rural Medical Practitioners) and PMP (Private Medical Practitioners) practitioners.

He mentioned that there are legal challenges currently pending in court after the IMA - Telangana and doctors raised objections against the training of RMPs and PMPs, leading them to approach the High Court. Despite these challenges, the Minister emphasised the government's dedication to finding solutions for RMPs and PMPs.

“The government has a duty to ensure health security for the underprivileged. We are focused on strengthening healthcare services in rural areas. It is an honour for me to serve as the Minister for Medical Education and Health,” Raja Narasimha remarked.

He also indicated that the government will take into account the various suggestions provided by the members of the Legislative Council.
