Sankranti celebrations were held in a grand manner on Monday at the local Jayaprakash Narayan College of Engineering (JPNCE). 

Punganur cows and the Haridasu folk performer attracted special attention. Elders showered Bhogi fruits on the children of the JPNCE family and blessed them. Replicas of a village temple, school, paddy fields, irrigation channels, and an open well emerged as major attractions.

Jabardasth Sudhakar attended the event as the chief guest, while senior advocate V. Manohar Reddy was present as the special guest. College Chairman K.S. Ravi Kumar welcomed the guests.

Prizes were awarded by the guests to the top three winners in the rangoli competitions. Nearly 20 stalls showcasing traditional Sankranti delicacies were set up on the campus.
