Former Illendu MLA Gummadi Narsaiah, a five-time legislator, was grandly felicitated with the Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan Memorial Award – 2025 at Jayaprakash Narayan College of Engineering (JPNCE). He was presented with a citation and a cheque of Rs 1 lakh.

Ahead of the ceremony, Narsaiah, actor-writer-director Tanikella Bharani, and college chairman K S Ravikumar paid floral tributes to the statues of Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan and former Union Minister S Jaipal Reddy. A two-minute silence was observed in memory of CPI leader Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy.

Chairman Ravikumar praised Narsaiah as a symbol of true democracy, while senior advocate V Manohar Reddy called him a rare example of political ethics. In his address, Narsaiah urged students to be determined, serve society, and reject corruption, stressing that real success lies in uplifting others.
