Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, on the occasion of 77th Republic Day announced that the State government, under the leadership of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, has set an ambitious objective of reaching a three trillion dollar economy by the year 2047. During the Republic Day celebrations held at the Parade Grounds on Monday, where he also unfurled the national flag, the Governor emphasized that the State government has crafted a comprehensive strategy to realize this long-term economic aspiration, aligning with India’s broader aim of becoming a 30 trillion dollar economy by 2047 as part of the Viksit Bharat initiative.
Furthermore, he highlighted that the “Praja Prabhutvam” initiative, established two years prior, has reached significant achievements and garnered the trust and commendation of the populace. On the occasion of completing two years, the State government took a bold and visionary step by launching the ‘Telangana Rising Vision 2047’ document. In doing so, the government has laid a comprehensive road map for inclusive and sustainable development, he said.
The Governor reminded that the delegation led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has recently participated in World Economic Forum (WEF) held at Davos, Switzerland, with a focus on the ‘Telangana Rising’. Governor Jishnu Dev Varma stated that Telangana is currently among the most advanced globally integrated life sciences ecosystems the world and is home to over 2,000 pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, ranking seventh among global life sciences hubs.
He further stated that the State government has launched the Telangana Next-Generation Life Sciences Policy 2026–30 and the policy sets out a clear ambition to position Telangana among the top three global life sciences clusters by 2030. Similarly, the clean & green energy policy-2025 is taken up with a goal to generate 20,000 MW of renewable energy by 2030, he added .
