Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who belongs to the BC community, should lend his support, as this would be advantageous for everyone involved. V. Hanumantha Rao, Ex MP and Cong senior leader
Former MP and Congress senior leader V. Hanumantha Rao urged all political parties to unite in support of implementing BC reservations in Telangana.
In a media briefing at Gandhi Bhavan on Saturday, he emphasised that now is the opportune moment for the Parliament to pass the BC reservation Bill, highlighting that leaders like Congress's Rahul Gandhi and Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy are in favour of this initiative.
Hanumantha Rao remarked, "Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who belongs to the BC community, should lend his support, as this would be advantageous for everyone involved."
He further mentioned that during Rahul Gandhi's padayatra, he showed his commitment to advocating for Backward Classes, and after taking office, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has been actively working on various BC reservation initiatives.
"Currently, the BC reservation case is pending in the court. A Telangana BC Bill should be introduced in Parliament and included in the 9th Schedule. BJP leaders and MPs should urge the Prime Minister to implement BC reservations," he added.
