Hare Krishna Foundation inaugurates ‘Centralized Community Kitchen’

Metro India News | KARIMNAGAR : The Hare Krishna Movement Charitable Foundation India (HKMCF India) inaugurated on Wednesday a state-of-the-art Centralized Community Kitchen at Karimnagar Market Yard to provide nutritious breakfasts to government school and college students under the Telangana School Breakfast Program.

The facility was inaugurated by Telangana Transport and BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar Goud, in the presence of Sri Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa Swamiji, President, HKMCF India, along with public representatives, government officials and other dignitaries.

The kitchen will prepare and distribute fresh, hot and hygienically prepared breakfasts to 49,025 students across 669 government schools and 11 junior colleges in 17 mandals. Spread across a 10,000 sq. ft. facility, the kitchen features automated systems for idli, dosa, puri, curry and sambar preparation, along with a food laboratory, RO water treatment plant, boiler, gas bank and effluent treatment plant.

Minister Prabhakar appreciated the initiative, stating that nutritious breakfasts can support children's health, education and government-school enrolment. Sri Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa Swamiji thanked the Telangana Government for its support and said the foundation hopes to make a meaningful contribution towards building a healthier, nourished and educated generation in line with the vision of “Telangana Rising.”
