HDFC Bank Parivartan launches 12 community development initiatives across Telangana

Hyderabad : HDFC Bank, India's leading private sector bank, today announced the launch of 12 community development initiatives across Telangana under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, Parivartan. The initiatives were virtually inaugurated by Shri A. Revanth Reddy, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Telangana. During the event, a 1.5 Tesla MRI facility was inaugurated at the Government Hospital in Bhupalpally. 

The virtual inauguration ceremony was also attended by Shri G. Satyanarayana Rao, MLA, Bhupalpally, Shri K. Ramakrishna Rao, IAS, Chief Secretary, Government of Telangana, and Shri Rahul Sharma, IAS, District Collector, Bhupalpally. Representing HDFC Bank were Mr. Venkatesh Challawar, Executive Vice President and Regional Head, Mr. Sharukh R. Taraporewala, Zonal Head and Head, Partnerships & Communications, CSR, Mr. Jose Stephen, Zonal Head, Mr. Shravan Kumar, State Head, Government & Institutional Business, and Ms. Asia Sayyad, CSR Manager, Hyderabad.

Spanning more than 40 villages across 10 districts, these 12 initiatives are expected to benefit over 12 lakh people annually by strengthening healthcare, education, sanitation and community infrastructure. The interventions will cover the districts of Bhupalpally, Kamareddy, Sangareddy, Karimnagar, Adilabad, Rajanna Sircilla, Khammam, Peddapalli, Wanaparthy, Nagar Kurnool, Hyderabad, Nizamabad and Rangareddy.

The interventions include support for two government hospitals, three mobile Medical Care Units, 74 government schools, 35 government junior colleges, 60 solar highway streetlights and three 3 public sanitation complexes at Amrabad Tiger Reserve.

The education initiatives include the development of Parivartan Shalas or model schools with comprehensive upgrades to academic infrastructure, digital learning, STEM education and sanitation facilities. The healthcare interventions include the MRI facility at Bhupalpally Government Hospital, a 10-bed Intensive Care Unit at Kodangal Government Hospital and three Medical Care Units serving Hyderabad, Sangareddy and Nizamabad, improving access to quality healthcare for underserved communities.
