Hepatologist’s books launched to spread awareness on liver

In an initiative to promote awareness on liver health, renowned Hepatologist Dr. K.S. Somasekhar Rao launched his books, "Last Warning" (English) and "Aakhari Hechcharika" (Telugu) on Saturday at Yashoda Hospitals, Hitec City. The books were unveiled by former Supreme Court Judge Justice Jasti Chelameswar and Lok Sabha Member of Parliament Dr. Shabari Byreddy , who attended the event as Chief Guests, in the presence of Dr. G. S. Rao, Managing Director, Yashoda Hospitals.

Dr. K.S. Somasekhar Rao mentioned that through these books, he intends to help people recognize the early warning signs of liver disease, encourage healthy habits and prevent avoidable liver disorders. The dignitaries emphasized that many of the liver related diseases can be prevented through timely awareness, healthy lifestyle choices, vaccination where appropriate and early diagnosis. The books cover common liver diseases, warning signs, common misconceptions, preventive strategies, healthy dietary habits, the importance of vaccination, safe use of medications and lifestyle modifications that help protect liver health.
