Cyberabad Women and Children Safety Wing conducted an extensive operation from January 10 to 16, 2026, focusing on the safety of women and children. As part of Operation Smile-XII, the Cyberabad Anti-Human Trafficking Unit carried out special raids, registering 50 JJ Act cases. During these operations, a total of 226 children – 220 boys and 6 girls – were successfully rescued.
The Cyberabad SHE Teams conducted 139 decoy operations during the week, apprehending 29 individuals for public indecency. While 28 of them were booked, the remaining were counseled. The teams also received 19 complaints from women, addressing issues ranging from harassment to social media abuse. Family counseling centers and CDW centers played a crucial role in resolving domestic disputes, successfully reuniting 13 families.
Awareness campaigns were conducted across Cyberabad by Anti-Human Trafficking Units and SHE Teams, covering topics like human trafficking, child labor, child marriage, harassment of women, stalking, begging, and cyber fraud. A total of 2,802 people were educated about these issues. Citizens were also informed about essential helplines, including Women Helpline 181, Child Helpline 1098, Dial 100, and Cyber Assistance 1930.
This coordinated effort highlights the proactive measures taken to ensure the safety and protection of women and children in Cyberabad.
