The Hyderabad Metropolitan Managing Director Ashok Reddy has instructed officials to accelerate work on Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) and prepare those in the final stages for inauguration. On Thursday, he visited Amberpet and Attapur STPs along with Executive Director Mayank Mittal. 

At Amberpet STP, he inspected the ongoing works and stressed the need to expedite minor civil works, gardening, painting, and internal road construction. He also directed officials to carry out beautification efforts, remove waste, and level the ground to ensure the plant is ready for operation. Later, he visited the Attapur STP and reviewed progress. He urged officials to complete the remaining works as soon as possible so that the facility is ready for inauguration.

Project Director TV Sridhar, CGM Sujatha, STP project officials, and representatives from construction companies participated in the inspection. ED Mayank Mittal inspects Balapur Section Office Mayank Mittal, Executive Director of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB), conducted an inspection of the Balapur Section Office under O&M Division-8 and the Aliabad Reservoir. 

During the inspection, he reviewed records related to water supply, sewage management, revenue billing, collections, and MCC complaint resolutions. He also held discussions with officials regarding the resolution of contaminated water complaints and chlorine levels in the supply system.  The inspection was attended by CGM Vinod Bhargav, GM, and other officials, who participated in the review process.
