Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha has Visakhapatnam on Monday. On this occasion, she made a surprise inspection of the Gopalapatnam Police Station. She inquired about the maintenance of CCTV cameras at the police station and also examined the records and inquired about the details of rowdy sheeters.
She advised the police to focus on preventing road accidents. She instructed the police to take a tough stand on the transportation of marijuana and asked them not to delay the charge sheet and to focus on traffic and parking.
She also wanted the police to listen to the problems of the people who came to the police station and not to misbehave with them. She ordered that FIRs be registered quickly without any hassle to the complainants and FIR copies be provided immediately.
The Home Minister instructed the officials to focus on the establishment of a new police station in Vepagunta. She issued instructions to the Endowment Department officials to set up a police outpost in the Simhachalam temple. Home Minister Anita also spoke to the women constables and inquired about their welfare.
