AP Hotels Association President RV Swamy has requested the state government that an excise policy be implemented that is favorable to star hotels in the state. Under the auspices of AP Hotels Association, Association he along with Hotel Taj Gateway President Rajaiah, and Hotel Murali Fortuner President Muttavarapu Murali met the Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Friday night.
On this occasion, Association President RV Swamy brought several matters to the attention of CM. Showing the excise policies implemented in neighboring states like Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, and Maharashtra, he requested that the excise fee in AP which is Rs. 68 lakhs per year be revised.
He also requested that industry status be implemented to running hotels, electricity rates be reduced, and municipal taxes be reduced. It is said that the CM responded positively to the requests of the Hotels Association and promised to implement the excise policy without any hassle for hotel owners.
