Hyderabad: Hyderabad will host the 13th Asian Textile Conference (ATEXCON) on April 2 and 3, bringing together key stakeholders from the textile industry, government and global markets. Ministers for Agriculture and Handlooms Tummala Nageswara Rao and IT and Industries Duddilla Sridhar Babu made the announcement on Tuesday while unveiling the official conference poster at the State Secretariat.
The two-day conference will be held at Novotel HICC in Hyderabad and is expected to attract industry representatives from several countries, suppliers of advanced textile machinery, and senior officials from government institutions. The event aims to provide a platform for discussions on emerging trends, challenges and opportunities in the textile sector.
The conference is being organised by the Government of Telangana with the Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI) acting as the co-host. Senior officials including Chief Secretary A. Ramakrishna Rao, Principal Secretary for Handlooms and Textiles Shailaja Ramaiyer, Telangana Global Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Managing Director Shashank and Director (Investments) Madhusudan were present at the poster launch.
The conference will include multiple sessions focusing on support for start-ups in the textile industry, changing global market demands, availability of raw materials and challenges faced by manufacturers.
The previous edition of ATEXCON, the 12th conference, was held in Mumbai last year.
