Medicover launches colorectal cancer screening

Hyderabad: On the occasion of Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month (March), Medicover Cancer Institute, Hi-tech City, has launched a special Colorectal Cancer Screening Awareness Program to promote early detection and prevention of colorectal cancer. Studies indicate that on average 1 in 20 individuals are at risk of developing colorectal cancer.

The screening package is at Rs 5,775, a 50% discount. It includes: Colonoscopy,,Fecal Occult Blood Test (FOBT), Serum CEA (Carcinoembryonic Antigen), Complete Blood Picture (CBP), Ultrasound Abdomen & Pelvis and Oncologist Consultation.

Medical experts recommend screening for individuals above 50 years of age, those with a family history of cancer, or people experiencing symptoms such as blood in stool, unexplained weight loss, recurrent constipation, severe abdominal pain, anemia, or rectal bleeding.
