Miyapur police, in coordination with the Special Operations Team (SOT) Shamshabad, have dismantled an interstate human trafficking gang and rescued two newborn infants. Acting on credible intelligence, authorities arrested 11 individuals, including an IVF agent, who were attempting to illegally sell the babies.

The gang allegedly targeted economically vulnerable families across India, coercing them to give up their newborns for money. The infants were then sold to affluent, childless couples through a well-organized network.

According to police, the prime accused include an IVF agent and a habitual offender involved in multiple cases across Cyberabad, Rachakonda, and Hyderabad. One infant was procured from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and the other from Ramanpet in Siddipet district, through intermediaries.

The accused arrested include Vemula Babu Reddy (Kadapa), Venkipally Gangadhar Reddy (East Godavari), Daram Laxmi (Kothagudem), Ram Hari Roy (Bihar), Kummari Harsha Roy (Hyderabad), Sangeeta Debi (Hyderabad), Gudepu Sujatha (Kurnool), Suraboina Anuradha (Siddipet), Esarapu Jyothi (Nalgonda), V Madhavi (Hyderabad), and Pothula Sobha (Nagarkurnool).

Both infants were safely handed over to Sishu Vihar, Ameerpet. The operation was conducted under the supervision of Madhapur Zone DCP Ritiraj, Shamshabad DCP B Rajesh, and Madhapur DCP (SOT) P Shobhan Kumar. Cyberabad Police Commissioner commended the teams for the successful rescue operation.
