Hyderabad police on December 25, 2025, invoked the Preventive Detention (PD) Act against rowdy sheeter Mohammed Trabez alias Tabbu (29), a resident of Bhavani Nagar, Talabkatta, following instructions from the Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad. Trabez, who runs a travels business, is a history-sheeter of Rein Bazar police station and is presently lodged in Chanchalguda jail.

Police said the detenue is involved in multiple serious offences, including a murder case at Rein Bazar, an attempt to murder case at Domalguda, and a bodily offence registered at Adibatla. In total, four criminal cases are pending against him across Hyderabad and Rachakonda limits, including offences under IPC, BNS provisions and the Arms Act.
