Hyderabad police are intensifying their crackdown on illegal Chinese bobbins across the city. In just four days, from January 8 to 11, authorities seized 2,150 bobbins worth Rs 43 lakh. These banned items pose serious risks to the environment, birds, and human safety.

During this operation, 29 cases were registered against people involved in selling these bobbins, and 57 individuals were arrested. Police warned that both selling and buying such banned items are punishable offenses under law.

Over the past month, authorities have taken even stronger action. A total of 132 cases were registered, and 8,376 bobbins worth Rs 1.68 crore were confiscated. About 200 individuals have been arrested in connection with these cases.

Officials urged the public to cooperate in preventing accidents and environmental hazards, especially during festive occasions. Citizens were reminded to celebrate responsibly and use safe, approved alternatives instead of illegal bobbins that endanger lives and wildlife.
