Hyderabad Traffic Police conducts road safety drive

Under the guidance of V.C. Sajjanar, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City, a Road Safety Awareness Program was conducted at Airforce Station Signal and Bowenpally Junction, under the limits of Traffic Police Station Begumpet, North Zone, Traffic-I, Hyderabad on Thursday. The program was organized in association with Sarvejana Foundation, led by Dr. Gurava Reddy, MD, KIMS Sunshine Hospitals, as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility initiative to promote responsible driving and reduce risky behavior on city roads.

D. Joel Davis, IPS, Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic), along with Rahul Hegde B.K, IPS, DCP Tr-1, and C. Venugopal Reddy, Addl. DCP Tr-1, participated in the program. G. Shankar Raju, ACP, North Zone, Traffic-I, G. Janaki Ramulu, Inspector of Police, and SI officers S. Shivaraj and A. Ashok Reddy, with Begumpet Traffic Police staff and Air Force officials, engaged motorists and commuters through a special interactive demonstration featuring an artist depiction of Yamadharma Raju.

The activity highlighted key traffic safety practices, including helmet usage, seatbelt compliance, stop line discipline, and general adherence to traffic rules. Citizens following rules were appreciated with 5-star chocolates and roses. Simultaneously, enforcement operations were conducted, and fines were issued for violations like wrong parking, signal jumping, triple riding, and not using helmets or seatbelts.
