Director of Ramappa Defence Junior College, Mulugu Road, Hanumakonda Aylee Karnakar Goud said on Thursday that one of its students Peddala Arun from Bhupapally who completed Intermediate second year has been selected for the Indian Air Force (IAF) in the Indian Air Force's Agniveer Vayu Selections held last month.
The first stage is an online written test, which consists of multiple choice questions (MCQs) in English, Mathematics, Physics and Reasoning. Except for the English paper, the exam will be bilingual (English and Hindi). Candidates need to score cut-off marks to proceed to the next stage. Stage 2: Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Compatibility Test (CT).
Candidates shortlisted in the written test will be called to the second stage, which will include Physical Efficiency Test (PFT), Physical measurement test (PMT), Verification of documents, Compatibility tests (I and II). These tests assess the candidate's physical endurance, suitability for military life, and the authenticity of the documents. Stage 3: Medical examination.
Candidates who have cleared the Physical and Fitness Tests will be subjected to a comprehensive medical examination by an Air Force Medical Team. Only those who meet the medical criteria will be considered for final selection. Speaking on the occasion, Arun said that 12 students have been selected in the previous Army Selection and wished that this success will inspire the rest of the students.
On this occasion, Vice Principal Tirupati, Physical Coach Kamal, Academic Coordinator Vinod, Zonal Manager Purnachander and the faculty congratulated the students.
