Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Saturday addressed the Fellows India Conference held at HICC, Hyderabad, under the aegis of the International Cardiology Research and Training Foundation (ICRTF). The Chief Minister attended the event as the chief guest and extended a warm welcome to over 500 young cardiologists from across India and neighbouring South East Asian countries.

Expressing happiness over Hyderabad hosting such a prestigious international conference, the Chief Minister said the city is rapidly emerging as a global hub for life sciences, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare innovation. He noted that the presence of eminent and young cardiologists from multiple countries reflects Hyderabad’s growing stature in the global medical ecosystem.

Addressing the delegates, Revanth Reddy remarked, “I am not a medical doctor, but a social doctor,” underlining the shared responsibility of governments and medical professionals in safeguarding public health. He appreciated the cardiologists for continuously upgrading their knowledge and skills despite achieving professional success, stating that constant learning is the greatest secret of sustained success. He cautioned that the moment learning stops, professional growth also comes to a halt.

The Chief Minister emphasized that doctors occupy a special place in society, as people entrust their lives to them, and urged them never to forget their responsibility towards humanity and society. He reiterated that the Telangana government accords top priority to healthcare and is always open to collaborating with medical professionals to refine policies in the larger public interest.

Highlighting rapid advancements in technology, including Artificial Intelligence and quantum computing, he called upon doctors to stay updated with the latest technologies while maintaining a strong human connect with patients.
