Believe in yourself, love yourself, and never give up Opal Suchata Chuangsri Miss World 2025

The journey of Miss World 2025 Opal Suchata Chuangsri from Thailand has been associated with breast cancer awareness and she reiterated that she would focus on breast cancer awareness and women's health in an interaction with the media here on Sunday. She further added, “I have more opportunity to be supporting other projects as well. I wouldn't want to choose: if I get the chance to support all, I want to support all,” added Chuangsri.”

Opal shared what led her to the world of pageantry. “At 16, I underwent breast lump surgery. Though it wasn’t cancer, it made me think of those who don’t get the same chance. That’s what motivated me to join pageants — to be a voice for them,” she said.

Opal offered a heartfelt message of gratitude: “To all the breast cancer survivors, patients, doctors, and supporters — you gave me strength. You are the reason I stand here today.”

The pageant held in India marked Thailand’s first win in over 72 years since the country began participating in the Miss World contest. “It feels like a dream. I’m proud to bring the crown home. It’s one of the best days of my life,” she said, visibly emotional.

Her journey to the crown was a long one. “My pageant journey lasted three years. It taught me resilience, empathy, and self-belief,” she reflected. “Every contestant had something special, but I think my ability to connect with people made the difference.”

When asked about the final round — where actor Sonu Sood posed a challenging question — Opal admitted to being initially unsure. “I didn’t understand it fully at first, but when he repeated it, I just answered from the heart,” she smiled.

With a confident and kind presence, Opal emphasized that the crown is not just a symbol of beauty, but of responsibility. “It’s not just about the crown. It’s about how many lives you can touch with it,” she said. Her message to young girls: “Believe in yourself, love yourself, and never give up.”

A fan of Indian cinema, she expressed admiration for Gangubai and Telugu star Prabhas. During her India tour, she was especially excited to visit Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad.
