MLA Tudi Megha Reddy of Wanaparthy has warned that strict measures will be taken if farmers encounter any problems during the paddy procurement process.
On Saturday, he inaugurated a paddy procurement centre established under the Women’s Federation at Pamireddypally village in Peddamandadi mandal. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized that once paddy is loaded onto the lorry, farmers have no further responsibility. “Any issues must be resolved at the procurement centre itself; farmers should not deal directly with millers,” he said.
Reddy instructed officials to ensure complete infrastructure at procurement centres and maintain close supervision of millers to prevent inconvenience to farmers.
The MLA highlighted that it is the officials’ duty to ensure a smooth and trouble-free procurement process. The event saw the participation of Wanaparthy Agricultural Market Yard Chairman Srinivas Goud, Vice Chairman Ramakrishna Reddy, former ZPTC member Ramesh Goud, former MPP Raghu Prasad, and leaders of women’s associations and the Congress party.
