Yuvaan Hiremath, son of Dr. Sunil S. Hiremath, Director of Zoo Parks, Telangana adopted eight animal species on his eight birthday for a period of one month at Nehru Zoological Park. He visited the Zoo along with his parents and presented the voucher of the amount paid to J. Vasantha, Curator of the zoo. The Adopted animals are Hippopotamus, Jaguar, Bear, Capuchin Monkey, Pelican, Gharial, Otter and Owl.  This is the consecutive second time that Yuvaan Hiremath came forward to adopt the animals on the occasion of his birthday. 

Curator J. Vasantha congratulated Yuvaan Hiremath on the eve of  his eight birthday and thanked him for showing a great gesture and his affection towards the wild animals and their welfare. Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad is receiving good response towards its “animal adoption scheme” as many individuals, corporate sector, banks, educational institutes are coming forward to adopt or donate for the upkeep and maintenance of the animals. Curator J. Vasantha appealed to all citizens to come forward and adopt the animals of their choice . She stated that the scheme is available right from one day to one year.
