Importance of engineering education stressed

A seminar on the importance of engineering education was conducted today at the Jayaprakash Narayan College of Engineering (JPNCE), Mahabubnagar. About 500 students from Rishi Junior College, Telangana Minority Residential Junior College, and Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) Junior Colleges participated in the program.

Addressing the gathering, College Chairman K. S. Ravi Kumar said that JPNCE was established in 1997 and that the institution is welcoming its 30th batch in 2026. He informed that the college achieved UGC Autonomous Status last year and has the distinction of producing three JNTUH Gold Medalists. He also stated that in the current academic year, three final-year B.Tech students have been selected by Infosys.

Infosys-selected student Bhargavi said that the training provided by JPNCE, including academics along with industry visits, hackathons, projects, TASK, and NXT Wave, played a key role in her success. Placement Officer Dr. Guru Raghavendra Reddy mentioned that training through TCS iON, IBM, NXT Wave, and TASK from the final year of B.Tech helps students secure campus placements. The College Principal explained the facilities available on the campus.

On the occasion, the college diary and calendars were released. The program was attended by Rishi College Dean Bhupal Reddy, Asraf Begum, Charitha, Zareena Begum, Polytechnic Principal Dr. V. E. Chandrasekhar, Ch. Venkatesh, heads of various departments, and students.
