Hyderabad :

Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Hyderabad concluded its Management Orientation Program, ABHYUDAY 2026, on an inspiring note with a Valedictory Panel Discussion themed “Industry Expectations from Management Students: Making the Best Out of Your B-School Journey”. The panel featured distinguished industry leaders, including Ms Anukulya Panda, VP & Head HR, Berkadia India; Mr Naveen Rajdev, Country Delivery Director, IQEQ Global Services India; Mr Aishik Bhattacharya, Associate Director, Franklin Templeton - Corporate Center India; Mr Vineet Shukla, CTO, JoulestoWatts Business Solutions Ltd; and Mr Sunil Punia, Executive Director, AMS.

Moderated by Mr Prakash Pathak, Head of the Corporate Relations Office, the discussion focused on the evolving expectations of organisations from future management professionals in a technology-driven business environment. The session delved into the critical importance of strong fundamentals, continuous learning, the responsible use of AI, and the adaptability required to succeed in the corporate world.

Mr Sunil Punia encouraged students to prioritise learning and organisational exposure over immediate compensation, emphasising that ownership, emotional intelligence, creativity, and learning agility will continue to distinguish successful professionals. Mr Vineet Shukla urged students to view AI as an enabler rather than a replacement, stressing the importance of combining technology with critical thinking and meaningful human connections.

Mr Aishik Bhattacharya emphasised the value of foundational roles, encouraging students to view sales as a critical baseline for understanding business, developing robust communication skills, and building a customer-centric mindset. He noted that this approach fosters authenticity, openness to learning, and a commitment to creating meaningful value throughout one's career.

The panel discussion was followed by an interactive Q&A session. Responding to students' concerns about competing with experienced professionals, Mr Naveen Rajdev highlighted that freshers possess the distinct advantage of learning with a completely open mindset. Ms Anukulya Panda added that adaptability and a readiness for new opportunities are valued just as highly by recruiters as prior experience.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by student coordinator Ms Manaswini Reddy Kaipu, expressing gratitude to the panellists, faculty members, and participants. This was followed by a warm felicitation of the panellists by Mr Prakash Pathak, Prof (Dr) Steven Raj Padakandla, Prof (Dr) Purnima Khemani, Prof (Dr) Pranay Sindhu, and Ms Kosaraju Sailaza, bringing ABHYUDAY 2026 to a close on a note of inspiration, insight, and gratitude.
