Indian Bank disburses Rs 1,050 Cr to SHGs

Indian Bank has sanctioned a total of Rs 1,050 Crores through Mega SHG Credit Outreach Camps held at Hyderabad and Amaravathi. These camps witnessed enthusiastic participation from SHG members and community leaders, reflecting the Bank's deep-rooted commitment to inclusive development.

The Hyderabad event is presided over by Shiv Bajrang Singh, Executive Director, Corporate Office, Chennai, and attended by senior executives and field-level functionaries of Indian Bank. SHG Camp at Amaravathi also connected virtually. Speaking at the event, Shiv Bajrang Singh, Executive Director, praised the SHG Members for their contribution to the society and also to the business of the bank to the extent of Rs 7000 crores in both the states.

He appreciated 100% repayment by the SHG members. He also underlined the transformative impact of SHGs on grassroots entrepreneurship and inclusive economic growth. He reiterated Indian Bank's continued dedication to supporting women-led initiatives through affordable credit and capacity-building measures.

The Field General Managers acknowledged the active participation of over 2,000 SHG members across the locations and assured that Indian Bank will continue to provide consistent support to help SHGs evolve into sustainable and self-reliant economic units.
