The 4th edition of the International Interventional Pulmonology national conference and live workshop, ‘BRONCHUS – 2025,’ organized by Yashoda Hospitals at HICC here on Sunday concluded with the participation of more than 150 national faculty and more than 3000 pulmonology doctors from across the globe. This international conference and live workshop endorsed by Europe, America, Japan and other countries' associations was organized by Yashoda Group of Hospitals for the fourth time in a row.

As part of this two days conference and live workshop conducted on February 8 and 9. Yashoda Group Hospitals Managing Director, Dr G S Rao, inaugurated the conference as the chief guest on the second day that is Sunday (February 9).

Speaking on this occasion, Yashoda Group Hospitals Managing Director, Dr G S Rao, said that the lung medicine department, which is modernizing and expanding its scope, has become a platform for sharing medical knowledge among medical experts from different countries to focus on the latest innovations in medical science.

Dr G S Rao said lung cancer kills more people than any other cancer type, with an estimated 1.8 million deaths worldwide. Lung cancer is diagnosed very late mostly in stage 3 and 4 due to lack of early diagnostic advances. In India, lung cancer accounts for nearly 8.5% of cancer cases and is one of the top three leading cancers. Yashoda Hospitals treated more patients successfully through the Bronchial Thermoplasty procedure, he added.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Pavan Gorukanti, Director, Yashoda Hospitals, was pleased to host the largest conference of pulmonary physicians and praised the efforts of physicians. Dr Pavan Gorukanti, himself a Pulmonologist and Critical Care Expert from USA, shared his views on the new training methods being implemented in Yashoda Hospitals. He said that the Pulmonology Department of Yashoda Hospitals has proven to be the best in the country by winning the best prizes on the international stage.

Yashoda Hospitals Senior Interventional Pulmonologist Dr. Harikishan, said that the two-day global conference discussed the latest medical procedures and training programs from grassroots level. He explained that the conference focused on diagnosis as well as treatment methods.

Leading physicians around the world are Prof Felix Herth - Thorax clinic (Germany), Prof Kyle Hogarth - University of Chicago (USA), Dr Michael Pritchett (USA), Dr Pallav Shah (UK), Dr Munavvar (UK), Dr Lorenzo Corbetta (Italy), Dr Jamalul Azizi (Malaysia) were some of the foreign physicians who participated in the program.
