Is this the end?

Drishyam The Conclusion’s trailer launch took place in Goa yesterday,  The Free Press Journal was present at the star-studded event

We got a glimpse of Vijay Salgaonkar’s final story (or is it?) with the trailer launch of Drishyam: The Conclusion. The third film of the crime thriller franchise sees the return of Ajay Devgn as Vijay, alongside Tabu, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, and Rajat Kapoor in their respective roles. Prakash Raj and Jaideep Ahlawat are the new additions to the franchise.

The one scene which stands out in the trailer is the face-off between Ajay and Jaideep, where the latter plays out a menacing human lie detector. At the trailer launch, where all the cast members were present, one of the click worthy moments took place when Shriya admitted to having a girl crush on Tabu, while the latter responded by fluttering her eyelashes, and making a hand movements signalling that she could call her later. Another light-hearted moment took place when The Free Press Journal asked director Abhishek Pathak how it felt after finally closing the chapter which led to the elevated blood pressure levels of the Goa police over the years.

Devgn shared an important thought when asked whether he was sad about the franchise coming to an end. “I feel when a project successfully gets over, that is actually the time when one should be the happiest. Now we hope that the film does well, and the journey has been great and we should always be happy when the journey ends,” he said.

When someone asked Jaideep a question which hinted at him taking over Akshaye’s role, Devgn also stepped into answer how since the police couldnt’t solve the case, the crime branch had to step in, hence it was a progression in the case. What was important to note, however, was neither those attending, not the cast members were certain that this could be the last film in the franchise. Tabu herself said that unless the makers make her sign a document saying that this is the end, she wouldn’t negate the idea of part 4.
