Reacting to the Justice P.C. Ghosh Commission’s report on the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project, BRS MLC K. Kavitha said that merely mentioning former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao’s name 36 times in the report does not prove any wrongdoing on his part. “We had already pointed out from the Dharna Chowk stage that this was essentially a Congress-commissioned report,” she remarked.

Kavitha alleged that the ruling party was indulging in diversion politics by using the Commission’s findings for political gains.She maintained that the project works were executed in line with the recommendations of expert committees. “The government should explain why it has not questioned Megha Krishna Reddy, who secured the lion’s share of the project tenders,” she added.
