GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan directed officials to expedite the completion of pending works at the Katedan Sports Complex and make it fully operational for sportspersons. The directive came during his inspection of various development initiatives in the Charminar Zone on Tuesday.

During the visit, the Commissioner personally contacted Water Board officials to ensure a water connection for the swimming pool at the complex. He instructed that both the water facility and the shuttle badminton court be completed promptly and made accessible to athletes.

Once the works are finalized, he emphasized that the complex should be handed over to the sports section without delay. Accompanying the Commissioner were Zonal Commissioner Venkanna, AC Sports Yadagiri Rao, Zonal SC Maheshwar Reddy, Chief Engineer Ratnakar, and Project Executive Engineer K.L. Srinivas, among others.
