KIMS Hospitals has become the first medical center between the Philippines and Turkey to treat localized prostate cancer and prostate enlargement using the advanced Tulsa-Pro system. This marks a major milestone for Indian healthcare.
The Tulsa-Pro (Transurethral Ultrasound Ablation) system is a minimally invasive, MRI-guided, ultrasound-based treatment that requires no incisions, stitches, or extended hospital stay. Performed as a day-care procedure, it offers a safer and quicker alternative to traditional surgery. KIMS is the first in Southeast Asia to install and use this technology.
So far, 13 patients—including three international patients from Bahrain, Dubai, and Mauritius—have been successfully treated, underscoring the hospital's growing global reputation.
The system was formally inaugurated by Dr. Bollineni Bhaskar Rao, Chairman and Managing Director of KIMS Hospitals. ‘KIMS is committed to offering the latest global innovations to our patients. With Tulsa-Pro, we now provide a complete range of prostate care—from traditional surgery to robotic and now incision-less treatments—all under one roof,’ he said.
