Union Minister & BJP Telangana State president Kishan Reddy today participated in the ongoing MLC election campaign in the district. Kishan Reddy began his speech by paying homage to the beloved children and martyrs, who sacrificed their lives while defending the borders of the country in Pulwama.
He said the BJP was contesting all the three MLC seats in Telangana. “BJP candidates Karimnagar-Nizamabad-Medak-Adilabad Graduate MLC Candidate AnjiReddy, Karimnagar-Nizamabad-Medak-Adilabad Teachers MLC candidate Malka Komurayya and Nalgonda-Warangal-Khammam Teachers MLC candidate Sarottam Reddy are in the fray. No other party except the BJP is running effectively in Telangana State,” he said.
He said the MLCs should stand up for the unemployed, teachers, employees and graduates in the Legislative Council. He said in the past, the BJP meant the MLCs. “The party leaders V. Rama Rao, Dr Rajeswara Rao, DSP Reddy from Rayalaseema, PV Chalapathi Rao from Visakhapatnam used to win as the Graduate MLCs.
They used to be the voice of the people in the Legislative Council. Those who have won as BJP graduate MLCs in the past have stood firm in the legislative council on people's issues. But, the previous BRS government had deactivated the legislative council. Congress leaders were inducted into the BRS party and the voice of teachers, unemployed and graduates was not heard,” he alleged.
Reddy said Telangana intellectuals, teachers, unemployed and graduates should think If the BJP candidates, they would try to be the voice of questioning in the legislative council on behalf of the people. Targeting the ruling Congress party, he alleged that the party had failed to implement the guarantees within 100 days of coming to power and claimed that not a single guarantee or promise had been fulfilled so far.
“It cheated on recruitment and teacher posts. DAs are not being given to government employees, no wage revision has been made. Salaries revision benefits are not being provided to retired employees on time. They are not able to provide even basic amenities in government schools. In just 10 months, it has garnered public opposition,” he said and alleged that the BRS party had done injustice by cheating the unemployed youth and added that the Congress party had also done the same thing. He urged the voters to vote for their party candidates and ensure their victory.
