The NSS Units of KLH, in collaboration with the Telangana Anti-Narcotic Bureau (TGNAB), organized an Anti-Drug Awareness session at the KLH campus to educate students about the dangers of drug abuse.
Saidulu, Deputy Superintendent of Police, and P. Srinivas Rao, Circle Inspector of Police, addressed the students, explaining the psychological, health, and social consequences of addiction. They stressed the role of youth in building a drug-free Telangana and India.
Students were advised to avoid negative influences such as bad company, pub culture, and online betting apps. Officials highlighted that involvement in drugs can harm academic performance and career prospects, especially since police verification is required for higher education and employment.
The speakers also pointed out the link between drug abuse and criminal activities, including theft, burglary, and violence, as well as school and college dropouts.
