K.T. Rama Rao, Working President of BRS accused the Chief Minister, Revanth Reddy, of making false statements. He said that the confusion around the farmer loan waiver program was exposed when Revanth Reddy was unable to explain the discrepancies.

KTR criticized the Chief Minister for admitting that promises made during the elections were not feasible to implement once in power, stating that the administration couldn’t deliver on those commitments.

KTR also raised questions about the reduced loan waiver amount of Rs 26,000 crore from the promised Rs 49,500 crore. He accused the government of falsely claiming that 100% loan waiver had been implemented, despite not even achieving 25%.

KTR pointed out that no village in the state had received full loan waivers, not even in the Chief Minister’s own village. He claimed that Revanth Reddy had misled farmers by making false promises, including the assurance of waiving Rs 2 lakh loans, which never materialized. KTR further criticized the Congress for deceitfully claiming that Rs 22,000 crore under Rythu Bandhu had been misused, with no clear answers from the government when asked for details. He accused Revanth Reddy of speaking lies, calling him a “thief” who could not be trusted.

KTR also debunked claims about farmer suicides, stating that under the BRS government, the number of farmer suicides had drastically reduced, according to the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB). He emphasized that the BRS government had been proactive in the agricultural sector, reducing suicides from 1,348 in 2014 to just 178 in 2022.

Referring to the loan waivers, KTR mentioned that the BRS government had waived Rs 28,000 crore over ten years and provided Rs 73,000 crore through Rythu Bandhu, directly depositing Rs 1 lakh crore into farmers’ accounts. He also questioned why the Congress government didn’t offer similar schemes to employees during elections. KTR vowed that the BRS would continue fighting for the rights of farmers and would not let the Congress off the hook until their promises were fulfilled. He urged the people to demand accountability from Revanth Reddy and the Congress party.
