The Warasiguda Police arrested a 45-year-old lady offender, who was involved in a house burglary case and stole gold, silver items and cash totalling worth of Rs 8,00,000. She was arrested and recovered the case property from the possession of the accused person. The case was detected through technology (CCTV) and by checking MO offenders, who were previously arrested in similar offences.
On May 23, at 16.30 hours when the complainant along with her family went to Srikalahasthi for pilgrimage by locking her house. On May 24, the complainant lodged with police saying that her house lock was broken and also Almairahs inside the house are also broken.
Around eight thulas of gold ornaments, 1kg silver ornaments and cash of Rs 1,80,000 were missing from her house. After verifying about 500 Community CCTV cameras from the crime scene to Bolaram, the lady accused person was identified as Gaddameeda Vijaya, resident of Macha Bollaram, who is the friend of the complainant. On reliable information the police apprehended the accused at Chilkalguda X road on Saturday and brought her to police station. Police have recovered gold items totaling about 6.7 thulas, silver items totaling about 1kg and 157 grams, net cash of Rs 38,000, total worth of Rs 8,00,000 from the accused.
