GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan has directed officials to immediately initiate repair works for the drainage leakage at Malakpet RUB. On Saturday, he inspected the leakage site along with Hydra Commissioner Ranganath.

Following the leakage reported since last night, the Commissioner instructed officials to take swift action to prevent water stagnation and public inconvenience. He emphasized that engineering officials must carry out repair works without delay.

Earlier, the Commissioner, along with the Kukatpally Zonal Commissioner, inspected several ongoing works in the Quthbullapur Circle. As part of the visit, he reviewed the condition of Fox Sagar Lake and examined the road widening plan from National Highway 44 to Chintal.

He also inspected the proposed site for the steel bridge on Pipeline Road, and reviewed the diversion of sewage water from Fox Sagar Lake to the Chemical Nala, including pipeline extension works. The Commissioner instructed the engineering teams to take all necessary steps to complete the drainage diversion, pipeline extension, and road widening projects at the earliest.
