Lokesh participates in temple consecration ceremony

Andhra Pradesh Minister for IT and Education Nara Lokesh participated in a series of religious and cultural events in his constituency Mangalagiri, attending temple ceremonies and offering prayers.

Lokesh took part as the chief guest at the idol re-consecration of a newly constructed Rama temple in Koppurao Colony. Upon his arrival, he was warmly received by temple committee members, local leaders of the Telugu Desam Party, and residents. Amid chanting of Vedic hymns by priests, idols of Lord Rama along with Sita, Lakshmana and Hanuman were ceremoniously installed. The minister offered special prayers and sought blessings at the temple. On the occasion, he announced a donation of Rs 5 lakh towards the temple’s reconstruction and development.

Several dignitaries, including Nandam Abaddayya, Tammishetty Janaki Devi and Chillapalli Srinivasa Rao, were present at the event along with local party representatives.

Later, as part of his visit, Lokesh attended the ongoing Brahmotsavam celebrations at the historic Sri Sitarama Swamy Temple in Old Mangalagiri. He was accorded a traditional welcome by temple authorities and party leaders. The minister entered the sanctum sanctorum and offered special prayers, after which Vedic scholars blessed him and presented teertham and prasadam. Prominent leaders, including Pothineni Srinivasa Rao and Padavala Mahesh, accompanied him during the visit.
